KnowNet.org explodes the myth that 'Knowledge Networking' is technology-driven and cost-intensive. In fact, Knowledge Networking is more about changing mindsets and attitudes, building capacities of people to strategically use the knowledge possessed by them, and also to absorb new knowledge to enrich their own thought process. Recognizing of knowledge in all its forms and contexts is of prime importance. Each one of us could be a part of this initiative which transcends geographical barriers. Voluntary efforts, intellectual contributions and involvement of each one of us will further the vision and reach of this Initiative. We welcome such voluntary contributions so as to ensure that 'Knowledge Networking' provides a demonstrative platform for developing countries and its citizens on how best to use knowledge for their growth and development. A global, decentralized trained force of Knowledge Networking Volunteers will ensure that benefits offered by wealth of knowledge possessed by individuals and that present in public domain (aided by Information and Communication technologies- ICT) reaches to where it is needed the most. Have a look at our other project - Digital Governance. The project aims to catalyze innovative e-governance Models in the South.
